President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday presided over the state burial of former Nigerian leader Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.
The ceremony featured Islamic funeral prayers led by the Chief Imam of Daura, a military citation by the Chief of Defence Staff and full military honours, including a 21-gun salute.
Buhari was laid to rest at the courtyard of his Daura home at following his death in a London hospital on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
